There’s no team without Trust. The highest-performing teams have one thing in common: psychological safety, the belief that you won’t be punished when you make a mistake. Psychological safety allows for moderate risk-taking, creativity and speaking your mind.

The Soft Skill Session was an initiative introduced by our HR, SriVidya at our Bangalore office. Initially, I was hesitant and I guess I still am, but after today’s session by Nimesh, I had to change my mind.

It’s been a month and a half since I joined Centelon and it’s been an amazing journey with my colleagues who are not only my coworkers but have become my family.

Nimesh is a kind of guy who is really passionate about work and it reflects on his performance. Passion is fairly easy to spot. People with a passion for a topic may not speak about the topic often. However, when they do they will do so with certainty, a tone and pace of voice that demands attention and body language which is positive and assertive.

He started out with the topic of being Honest, not only towards others but also towards your work and most importantly towards yourself. He went on speaking about how exciting it is to work for Centelon, unlike other companies who give you boring excel sheets to work on. And I totally agree with him.

Centelon is an amazing place to grow and I’m very lucky to have landed my first job here. Here, we work on real-time projects and we get a clear picture of what the client wants. The whole AI/ML team, which I’m a part of, is very supportive and we share knowledge with each other and help each other if there’s a bug or an error.

I really enjoy working with Abhishek, Ruturaj, Anshul, Lakshmi, Ritika, Shiwangi, Harish and Nimesh. And I’ll not forget to mention SriVidya who lights our office with joy and happiness. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for taking up this initiative and help us train for a better future, be it in Centelon or any other company.

Anshul and Lakshmi had taken a very interactive session and I am really very appreciative of their efforts. But still, I was hesitant thinking that what I would present when my turn came. But today, Nimesh proved that it is okay to go with the flow and we should not fear to make mistakes. He told us about his experience so far and it really inspired me. Thank you, Nimesh for the awesome experience you gave us, you’ll surely reach great heights.
